Caroline and Will, part 1 | DC Wedding Photographer

An Editorial Engagement | Washington National Cathedral

When Caroline called and asked if I was available to photograph her wedding, to say I was thrilled was an understatement. When she mentioned their location was none other than the Washington National Cathedral- my jaw dropped. So obviously I said yes yes yes yes yes yes and we decided to mosey around the campus as part of their engagement session!

I know Caroline from my time at The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” but this super windy chilly day was my first time meeting Will! The energy of these two is just complete comfort and Disney charm and I couldn’t ask for a more fun and laid back couple to work with.

So, to wrap it up and to answer your most pressing questions: YES we should absolutely take your photos at the many gorgeous spots at the cathedral and YES you should get your dog for a stroll around your favorite city block in the late afternoon so you look like the movies.

Enjoy Caroline and Will’s Engagement- xoxo, Paige

note: photos on the cathedral grounds, including the Bishop’s Garden, requires a permit that usually takes at least 2 weeks to clear and costs $250/day.
