Portrait

I’ve had the privilege of photographing some pretty RAD seniors so far this school year! Keep the attitude, individuality, and personalities coming- I can’t WAIT to see what you do next

First of all, I adore Maya. Maya is an outstanding singer and a lead vocalist in the US Army Band “Downrange.” She owns a golden doodle that I’m infatuated with, learned how to swallow pills for the first time in 2024 (we’re so proud of you, babygirl), and is always game for “Mayaaaaa, I have an idea!!!”

As a musician (Me! Hi, I’m a professional flutist and piccolo player as well), it is always a joy to work with fellow musicians to revamp their portraits to represent who they are NOW, cause 9/10 the last time they had portraits taken was during undergrad or grad school

This was a fun one! Amanda came to me as an out of town referral after her booking with another photographer fell through. Lucky me!! She asked if I was available that very weekend, I happened to have a last minute cancellation, and we were able to hop on a call immediately! Timing seemed to be perfect for us, but Mother Nature and the infamous DC traffic pattern had other plans…

Savannah reached out about updating portraits before a big life change- moving from the DC area to California!! We talked about a musicians tendency to do ONLY that, and how we feel differently about the matter. We chatted making big changes and pivoting with your life goals and how that doesn’t Actually diminish your success although we (musicians) have trained our whole lives to feel that way. So basically, just your standard portrait session meets deep philosophical convergence- it is TOTALLY normal, y’all

Let’s Create Something That Lasts

If you’ve found something here that resonates, I’d love to photograph this chapter with care and intention. Whether it’s a milestone or a quiet moment in between, you deserve to be seen, celebrated, and remembered.
